Creevelea Abbey located on the outskirts of Dromahair village. It is a Franciscan Friary which was founded in 1508. It was in use until the 17th century when the Franciscans were forced to leave by the Cromwellian army. The nave, choir, tower and transept are well preserved and To the north of the church are remains of a large cloister, a chapterhouse and lots of domestic buildings including the kitchen. it is now protected as a national monument
