Drumhauver Bridge Loop

An easy 10km for people of an average level of fitness

A-B. Starting from the mapboard at Drumhauver Bridge follow the red (and purple) arrow along the minor road for 150m to reach an access path to the canal on your left. The purple arrow is for the longer Battlebridge Loop. Join the canal bank here.
B-C. Continue to follow the purple arrows as the loop follows the canal bank for 2km to reach Drumleague Lock. At the exit onto the roadway note that the longer Battlebridge Loop continues along the canal for a further 2km – but you turn left, cross the bridge, and re-join the canal on the other side.
C-A. Now follow the red and purple arrows for 2.5km back to Drumhauver Bridge. Join the main road; turn left across the bridge to reach the trailhead.
